'500 - Internal Server Error'

Post by YehudaV »

Hi,
I just started to evaluate the Profound UI after I downloaded and installed the requested PTFs for our V5R3 test box. I was trying to add our company logo to the PROFOUNDUI/PUISCREENS as suggested in an earlier posting, but when I'm trying to save the changes I'm getting the '500 - Internal Server Error' with option to press OK and then nothing more happens except that the saving icon is working (?).
Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance
Yehuda

Have a look at the active jobs with:
RPG CODE
WRKACTJOB JOB(PROFOUNDUI)
There may be a message waiting on one of the jobs. If not look at the job log for each of the profound ui jobs to find the cause of the problem. It is most likely an authority issue.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for the answer and the suggestions, but unfortunately the problem probably something else.
My user profile have all the authorities (like QSECOFR). I found some messages, answered and tried again without success. The screen is held and the saving is working (see attachment)

I got a new problem with the same '500 - Internal Server Error' message. This time is after I converted a green screen DDS, made some changes and tried to save.

See in the attachment what I find in the wrkactjob job(profoundui)

Please help....

The word document seems to be missing the wrkactjob message. Perhaps email the message details to support@profoundlogic.com

There is no wrkactjob message, but a message window in the Visual Designer saying '500 - internal Server Error'. I just find in one of the jobs belonging to the PROFOUNDUI what I sent.

Have a look at the http server error log file in /www/profoundui/logs folder. It may give a clue to the problem here.
