How is Profound UI communicating with the IBM i?

Question:
How is Profound UI communicating with the IBM i? Is it through a HTTP server job, a WAS server job, or something else?

Answer:
This is done through a native persistent CGI program running in an HTTP server job. No Java or WAS is used.
