Develop panels using Visual Studio, DreamWeaver, etc.

Post by Profound Logic »

Question:
Is it possible to develop panels using Visual Studio, DreamWeaver, or other tools? Or are they only developed within your software?

Answer:
Rich Display Files use DHTML or Dynamic HTML, which provides for more capable functionality. For example, our grids are not simple <TABLE> tags. They allow for functionality that HTML by itself does not have (client-side sorting, folding, column resizing, etc). The tools you describe are for building standard HTML content. So, you typically would not use them to create Rich Display File screens. However, if the need arises, it is very easy to embed standard HTML content within a Rich Display File. We provide several widgets that facilitate this.
