Click on the "Elements" tab (which is near "Record Formats" and "Fields" on the right side of the Visual Designer.) The sequence of the fields in the Elements tab controls the tab sequence. You can either highlight a field and use the up/down arrows at the top to move it, or you can drag the field to a new position with the mouse.
There is also a button at the top that sorts the fields into the sequence that they are positioned on the screen.
