using Horizontal centering

Post by kmiles@misd.net »

In our subfile heading panel our first line is used for the program title, we use this for all our panels. We are trying to use Horizontal Centering for program title, this sets Left for the output field to "calc (50% - 228px)" . We have issues with the program title not appearing in the center of the Heading Panel when a grid is on the panel that is wider than the Heading Panel. We can work around by setting the program title Left to a position that is centered on the Heading Panel.

Heading panel is 940x
grid is 1040px
program title is 460px

Question: Can we force horizontal centering to calc left position based on the Heading Panel width?

What kind of panel are we talking about, here?

Most Profound UI panels have built-in ability to center the text. The CSS panels are set up to center their text by default. The older panels have a "text align" property that can be set to "center".

Can you tell us more about what you're doing, and why you are using the CSS calc()? i'm assuming there must be some special requirement above and beyond simple centering? Or your panel isn't a traditional Profound UI panel? The more information you provide, the more likely we can give you an accurate answer.
