Hello,
Some of our genie screens have started to show up as all fields hidden.
These are basic genie display screens with no underlying code.
I dont know what has changed, but can anyone guide me as to where to look.
One day they were displaying fine. The next, some, not all are displaying as hidden.
Thanks

Re: Screens displaying as hidden
Hi Doug,
We're sorry to hear you're having troubles with your Genie screens. When you say that your screens are 'displaying as hidden', are you saying that the entire screen is blank (i.e no fields are showing on the screen at all)?
Have you made any changes to the Genie skin or your Genie screens recently that might cause this issue? If so, you should check to see if these changes have caused the issue you're having. Have you made any other changes like upgrading Profound UI? Do these screens show as expected if you use a different Genie skin? If these screens work properly in other skins, then the issue may be with the current skin you're using. You could also check the console tab in your browser's developer tools to see if there are any error messages here -- if there are, this may give you more information on what might be causing this problem.
If this problem continues and you cannot find a solution, you may want to contact our support team directly so that we can look into this further on our end. You can contact support by emailing support@profoundlogic.com.
Thanks!

Re: Screens displaying as hidden
The entire screen is blank. When I enable designer mode, the fileds show up, but all are marked as visibility: hidden.
When I change the visibility attribute they display, but the entire designer is not working right. Adding dialogs do not allow me to resize the dialogs and they populate the screen initially as hidden. I have to go change them to visible.
When I re-save the screen and try to launch it, it comes back as hidden.
It is not pulling from the screen name and screen identifier field. I know this because I saved some widgets on the screen and they do not come back. Even though the screen name and ID shows up in the genie administrator.
This happens in all genie skins, (Even the un-altered default) but only with these specific programs.
This is in a library of programs I am testing out some designs before I do the actual dds conversions to richui.
I have about 6 genie screens saved in the genie admin. Three of them are now doing this weird hidden thing, the other three work just fine.
One day they all worked, next only some worked.
I can not figure out what would cause this or even where to look.
Sorry to be long winded.. trying to explain this weird thing as best I can.

Hello Doug,
Could you please provide us with some additional information? Using the Console of the Developer's Tools of your browser (Ctrl + Shift + I in Chrome), when you access the page, do you see any errors? You may need to refresh the page after opening the Developer's Tools for any or all errors to appear.
Thanks,

Re: Screens displaying as hidden
omg... Nevermind.
After looking at the chrome errors I found I had left out a quote from a stylesheet reference.
All is good now.
Weird that this only affected a few of the screens. Not going to chase that rabbit at the moment.
Thanks so much for your help

Hello Doug,
I'm glad to hear this is working for you now! I suggested checking the Chrome errors because I also had this issue a few days ago that was also due to a missing quote.
If you have any additional questions, please let us know!
