Automatically set widgets position properties in percentage

Is there a way to configure profoundui to automatically position widgets by percentage when doing drag and drop?

Currently if i drag and drop widgets onto a canvas they are positioned by pixels. I will then have to set each widget property(left,top,width,height etc) to percentage and in cases where i have to use many widgets(labels,output fields, text boxes etc) it gets really tiresome and time consuming to manually set the properties for all the elements.
Additionally when an element is moved, the properties get reset to pixels and the entire positioning phase has to be repeated.

We want it to be in percentage so that it can be scalable on different screen sizes including mobile(tablet) screens.

Unfortunately, there currently isn't a way to do this...

However, you might find the %Width and %Height options on the "Design" tab will help you? They make it easier to set things up as percents... But, you're right, if you drag/drop the fields, you'll lose those settings and will have to re-set them.

I think this would be quite a helpful feature in the designer.
We are going to develop applications for different sized screens, so there would be less trouble with positioning and element size if there was a setting in the designer to automatically use % values instead of px.

Is something like this planned?

Sorry, no.. .this is not planned. When you drag/drop widgets, the browser reports the mouse coordinates to the designer in pixels. Unfortunately, there really isn't any good or reliable way to convert these pixels into percents. So the drag/drop operations cannot be used to set positions in percents, and most likely will never be.

Instead, you can use the percent options on the ribbon, or you can set the widget properties as percents in the properties box.
