PC Command Applet Security Warning

Post by bruceanthony »

We are upgrading from XP to Windows 7
On Windows 7 with Java version 7-21 and profoundui version 4.2.4, we are having the following issue.

We run the PCCommandApplet with check box checked.

We periodically receive a Security Warning as follows:

Block potentially unsafe components from being run?
Application: PCCommandApplet
Java haws discover aplicaton components that could indicate a securityh concern.
Contact the applicatino vendor to ensure ha it has not been tampered with.

The above warning is always presented after reboot of PC and first run of STRPCCMD.

Is there a way to prevent Security Warning from displaying?

This is caused by some new security measures Oracle introduced with JRE 7u21. We have repackaged our applet to comply so that users will not get this warning.

The change has not yet made it into our current release, although it will be in the next update.

In the meanwhile, we can send you an updated copy of the applet offline.
