Atrium Menu being bypassed

Post by amarschner@masters »

We have just one user who, when the Atrium menu is called. reverts to a Genie version of his default green-screen menu, instead.
We do not see any differences in his i-series user profile/job description when compared to other users who are working properly.
We even had him signon to a different PC with the same result.
Any ideas?

Hi Al,

Could you give us more information about how the user is calling this menu? What is expected to happen once the menu is called? Are they using a macro for this? The more information we have about the problem, the better we can support you and help with a solution.

Thanks!

Sounds like a Genie Macro that has reached a screen that it cannot identify.

The user is using the Atrium Navigation to access the RPG programs being called in the PROFOUND/LAUNCH program genie macro and reverts back to the default menu found on the I-series profile, except in a genie scraped menu. For all other users, when clicking on the same menu item, the program specified in the LAUNCH is called and rendered on the screen, which is the normal process.

There is no additional macros used to sign in. The username and password are saved in chrome. We had the user sign into another computer to eliminate cache or pc issues and he experienced the same results. We’ve had other users sign into the user in question’s computer, and the programs rendered on the screen normally as expected.

Every user has an icon on the desktop to launch the Atrium menu.

Hi Al,

I would verify that the USRPRF settings for initial menu & initial program match the other users that are working correctly. If they are different but cannot be changed, you will need to add the steps to navigate from there to any of the screens already defined in the macro.

This user's profile has an initial program of *NONE. The initial menu name happens to be the same as his profile name. This is not an unusual setup. Several other users are setup this way.
He had been accessing the Atrium menu without a problem until last Friday morning. Starting then, after logging on to Atrium, he would go directly to a Genie version of the initial menu.
Our solution defies logic. We created a copy of his initial menu under a new name. Then, we changed his profile's initial menu to point to this new menu name.
Problem gone!
