Re: Find/Filter

Post by ppbedz »

We are on version 5.4.0 and I am noticing that the Find does not always position to the correct record in the grid. It seems to be sporadic. Sometimes it finds what I type, and sometimes it positions me to a row that does not have the text I typed. I don't know if this has something to do with it, but the column I am searching in contains an output field, a hyperlink, and an image in the grid cell.

Most features only look at the first widget in a given grid cell. Since you have multiple widgets in the cell, you should examine the sequence that they are defined in the "elements" tab. (not the visible sequence on the display) and make sure the one that you want to use for find/filter is the first one in that grid column.

Scott, I checked the sequence in the elements tab first. The description is listed as the first widget in that grid column.

In that case, it sounds like a bug rather than a how-to question, so please file a bug report with Profound Logic. You can do that by sending an e-mail to support@profoundlogic.com
