Find/Filter
I'm using sub file an a tab and applying the find/filter, but when I do a right click and press find or filter options, the field selection does not show up at all, any idea why?

Re: Find/Filter
Roberto,
Some things to check:
- Are the properties turned on ('find option' and 'filter option')?
- Is it a database driven grid? If so, the find/filter options are not supported.
- Is the find/filter textbox located in an unexpected place? We have recently fixed an issue with this behavior.

Re: Find/Filter
Glenn,
- Properties are turned on
- It's not a database driven
- What do you mean with unexpected place ? the searching field would come up above the grid, right?
Roberto.

Hello,
yes in theory but if your subfile is in window, there is a little bug. And if your window pop over the textbox you would not see it

Re: Find/Filter
Yes, the textbox should appear above the grid. We have had a report of the textbox appearing in an incorrect position in 5.3.2. If this is the issue, we have a patch available.rjiron wrote: - What do you mean with unexpected place ? the searching field would come up above the grid, right?
Regardless of whether this is your issue, could you send a message to support@profoundlogic.com with a screendump from the screen with the find/filter not working?
Directions for obtaining a screendump (if you are not aware)..
- Navigate to the screen in question
- Press ctrl+F9
- A file named 'json.txt' will be downloaded to the location configured in your browser (or your browser will prompt you to open or save).
- Attach this file to your message

Re: Find/Filter
Sorry Glenn, I thought you wrote the above, basically what I did was remove the screen as a window and remove some underline header that had above the sub file, but I will install the new patch to fix that issue.
Thanks.
Roberto.
Thanks.
Roberto.

Re: Find/Filter
Hello,
do you already find the solution to use the Find/Filter options, when we define the screen as a window?

Re: Find/Filter
Only to close the circle of the previous question: Yes, in the 5.4.0 release, that problem was resolved.
