I have a new display file that is still in development that has been giving me issues. This display file has multiple record formats and the error seems to surface as I am traversing between the different record formats. At first, I thought it was a memory issue because the screen in IE freezes and some panels fail to display entirely, others show an outline with nothing in them, and a blank subfile is displayed. When I put IE (version 11) in debug, I am consistently seeing one of two errors at the time of the crash.
1. SCRIPT438: Object doesn't support property or method 'kf'
File: genie.js, Line: 1176, Column: 244
2. SCRIPT438: Object doesn't support property or method 'setProperty'
File: genie.js, Line: 1057, Column: 300
My only option when this happens is to close the window and end my job.
I saw in some other similar posts a suggestion to update java, which I have done and now on version 8u31.
If you need pictures or anything, please let me know. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Neil

Re: Script error in genie.js file
I forgot to mention that I have also ran this same application in Chrome and was unable to duplicate the error.

Re: Script error in genie.js file
Neil,
The JavaScript (which is different from Java -- updating Java won't help here) is crashing with an error. The reason things look like their "freezing up" is because the JavaScript code has crashed, so it is no longer drawing new updates to the screen.
You said that the screen works properly in Chrome, right? If that's true, please navigate to the screen in Chrome and press Ctrl-F9. It will ask you to download a file named json.txt -- download the file to your PC, and then upload it as an attachment to the forums, here. This should allow me to reproduce your screen on my system.
I will then try running it in IE11 and see what I get... if I can reproduce it, I can probably fix the problem.

Re: Script error in genie.js file
Hmmm... I'm not getting any errors on this screen in IE11.
However, I notice that you are running a very old version of Profound UI. It's possible that this is something we've already fixed in a newer version.
It's also possible that it has something to do with your Genie skin... since, of course, I don't have your skin (I'm using one of Profound's) it's possible that the problem only occurs in your skin.
This might be easier to work with in E-mail. I'll contact you...
