Dialog Box - popup

We have a SELECT box in ProfoundUI with a "error message" attached to it and when that error is turned on a record level dialog box shows up not the red popup box with the x. Any thoughts? I have checked there are no error messages on the record format level. It doesn't make sense why this is happening, but no where else.

Make sure you don't have the error message location property set to "alert" for your message. That would pop up an alert box. It is the first property under the "Validation" heading.

Thanks! Unfortunately, the "error message location" value is blank. We don't usually set that with anything.

It looks like your colleague, Lesley, is already working with our support team on this. You might want to check with her if they've discovered anything.

If that doesn't help, then please create a screen dump with Ctrl-F9 and post it here. (You can do this after closing the alert box, but while still on the screen.)

Hi Scott, I did manage to resolve the problem by renaming the error indicators, the error now displays next to the field on the screen. Sheri and I have spent days investigating but still have no idea what caused the problem.
