set designer preferences

I would like to configure the designer so that when I log in, the Snap-To grid is set to NONE and the Show-Grid is set to NONE as well. I cant find where to set those preferences and as it stands right now, I have to change those seeting with every instance of the designer I have open.

The Visual Designer saves these settings as a cookie (stored in your browser.)

IF they are not getting saved for you, perhaps you have cookies disabled, or something similar?

Yes sir, that is correct. Cookies and history and such are deleted upon exiting the browser. Any hopes in the near or not so near future for a more permanent way to store such preferences? Thanks for the quick reply.

Are you using a public computer, or some other computer that is shared by many users? Is that why it deletes cookies and history?

Do you have a suggestion as to where would be a better place to store this stuff?

Not on a public computer but we have had several instances in the last 6 to 12 months where cookies caused us problems and so policy is to set browser to clear it all on exit. As for where to store it, was actually thinking of another PUI000*** file like the library list file, PUI0001204, that is tied back to the PUI0001202 file by user number. A PUI0001206 file that has either key flds for preferences or a long field with key words, something like that. Then when you log on to designer, pick up the preferences and off to the races. Something like that.

An additional benefit to storing these preferences in the database would be persistence accross different computers.
