Folks,
We seem to be experiencing some strange behaviour with charts on certain of our machines.
On the vast majority the charts work perfectly but on certain machines the behaviour is different.
For example with a 3D column chart usually we see columns building in a nice flow and line charts the line appears and then moves to the desired values etc. etc.
On the problem machines we either get the charts loading enlarged (Outside of the panel) and then re-sizing, or it displays a loading message and then the chart appears.
I have tested this with I.E. 8, 9 and 11 and working on the assumption that these are Javascript driven charts, which may be incorrect, checked the Java versions as well. I have an I.E 8 machine with Java 7.05 which works perfectly but another I.E 8 machine with Java 7.45 which displays this erratic behaviour. I have tested various other machines with different I.E and Java version and found only I.E 11 and windows 8 seem to behave as expected.
Please could you let me know if I am looking in the right place or if maybe you are using something other than Javascript for the charts and I need to look elsewhere for the problem?
Thanks in advance.
Brett

Re: Chart Behaviour
Ok, sorry – Java was a red herring. I see from a previous post that the charts are flash based.
Please could you let me know what I should be looking out for or what version is best suited for the charts?

Re: Chart Behaviour
The charts are either flash-based, or may be JavaScript. They will use flash by default, but will fall back to JavaScript if flash is not available.
However, despite the similar names, Java and JavaScript are two completely different and unrelated things. Java is not used at all. The versions of Java that you posted are not relevant. (The only thing Profound UI uses Java for is STRPCCMD/runPCCommand support. Not for charts or anything else at all.)
Profound UI uses FusionCharts, and I'm not aware of any problems with chart rendering. If you do find one, you should report it to Profound Logic Support.
As for the best version of Internet Explorer.... I don't think anything has been tested with IE11 at this point. IE11 has not been released yet, and it is only available as a "preview" (essentially a beta test) from Microsoft. I would recommend IE10 or IE9 if you wish to use IE. Versions older than IE9 have significant bugs/problems.

Re: Chart Behaviour
Thank you Scott, I have logged a support call. I do have a screen AVI displaying this behaviour but due to it's size, 2.5 MB, it is not letting me upload the attachment to this forum.
