Hi,
I have a single screen that contains four separate grids - attached designer screenshot showing three of the grids. Each of the grids is single page subfile load with paging controlled within the RPG.
There is however only one "control" record defined (DSP001 in this case), which I know is not a DDS standard, but Profoundui seems quite happy with this except when it comes to Page Up and Page Down responses. Although each grid has its own unique response indicator paging in any of the grids sets on all of the other grid paging indicators at the same time.
Is there a work-around that I could use to overcome this issue? I could have only the primary subfile being single page load and use scroll-bars on all the subsequent grids but would prefer, for performance, that they are single page loads.
Regards
Brett

That doesn't seem right that it works like that. Are you seeing this behavior (all grids' response indicators turned on) when using the keyboard, or when clicking the paging links?
Or both?

Re: Multiple grids on single screen
I put together a quick test, and I'm seeing the same thing whether clicking the links, or typing the keys.
It looks like this is a bug and/or oversight -- we'll see about making some improvements.

Re: Multiple grids on single screen
Thank you David.
I have looked at some alternatives, such as assigning my own page up/down button but first choice would be if the grid paging worked.
I am currently working on our layout standards so would like to know if continuing down this route is viable, as in a fix will be available shortly, or I should try something different? So with the crack of a whip I ask how cheeky is that of me?

Re: Multiple grids on single screen
I will answer cheekiness with cheekiness.
Is today quick enough for a fix? :-). Ha ha.
We have looked into this problem and made the following adjustments:
1. Corrected clicks on the paging links so that they will set on response indicators only for the 'clicked' grid.
2. Handling page up / page down keystrokes is a lot more difficult. Ideally, we'd have some concept of an 'active grid' so that you can click on one and get some visual indication that it's 'active', and then the keystrokes would work on that one.
In practice, there is as of yet no concept of an 'active grid', and this would be quite difficult/time consuming to implement. So for now, we felt that the appropriate thing was to simply do nothing when page up / page down keys are typed on screen that has multiple grids with paging controls.
These fixes will go into the next release of Profound UI. If you are using the current version (4.6.2), we could supply you with a patch that will enable the above adjustments immediately.
If you're interested in this, please contact technical support to get the patch and refer to this forum post.

Re: Multiple grids on single screen
:-) If that is your version of cheeky I will take it all day.
Thank you David - that is perfect. Using the paging controls on each independant grid is exactly what I am after.
We will upgrade to V 4.6.2 this evening and then contact the helpdesk for the patch.
Thanks for your help a speedy solution.
