I have a subfile with several output fields in each row. I have placed an error message with indicator on one of the fields to indicate a record lock when trying to go into edit mode on the record. When a record lock occurs, the error indicator gets set on and the subfile column gets outlined in red indicating the error, but the error message does not display until I click on the field.
Is this a bug or is this the way it is supposed to work?

Re: Error Messages on Output Fields
I have found another strange problem with the error messages on fields in a subfile grid. In this particular program, I have a subfile grid with two columns with output fields in them displayed on the left of the webpage. When I double click on a record in the subfile, a panel on the right of the webpage opens with the details of the double clicked record. If a record lock cannot be obtained in the program, the panel on the right is not opened and the subfile record is updated with an error message to display. In this particular program, the error message displays correctly next to the subfile record. But, it also displays in the upper left corner of the webpage. This error message disappears after a few seconds. I have double and triple checked and the error message and it's associated indicator are only defined on the field in the subfile record.

Re: Error Messages on Output Fields
Can you provide a JSON screenshot of the problem screens and we can investigate further. If you are on version 4.1.0, you can simply press Ctrl-F9 after navigating to the screen. You can either attach the files here or send them to support@profoundlogic.com. Thanks.
