Popup from third display file

I have a screen that consists of two display files and they display correcly on the screen.
One display is an action panel and the second display is the body. If the popup window is defined in the second display, I don't experience any problems, it doesn't clear any of the displayed record formats (this is good), but If the popup is defined in a third display file which is used in a service program, then when the popup is called it clears the second display (body), but not the first. Is it possible to use more than two display files without clearing parts of the screen.

Try defining a dummy format in the third display file with the ASSUME keyword.
