Column sorting on subfiles

I have a subfile with the column sorting set to "true" and the initial sort column set to blank. My program returns to my rpg pgm when the row is "clicked" and then displays a popup detail screen.

The problem I have is when I click on a column to sort it and then click on the row I want for the detail screen to show, after I close the detail screen and return to the subfile the subfile is no longer sorted by the column I sorted. It looks like it is reverting back to the way the subfile was loaded initially.

I am not reloading the subfile anytime time during this process. How can I keep the subfile sorted by the column I clicked to sort?

Unfortunatley there's not currently a way for it to remember the user setting for client-side sorting in between screen loads.
