Genie grid not matching screen positions from S36 environment format.

Hi,
I am trying using Genie to try an modernize an application that is still using the S36 environment.
On one of the screens is not the columns on the grid don't match the columns on the screen so I set the data column start positions in the grid data from screen but it hasn't had any effect.
As I said it a very old S36 environment application so there's no DDS.
I'm new to Genie and any help would be greatly appreciated.
