Hi

I had no problems to install it to the RDi 7.x, but i can imagine there are some issues with RDP 8.x.

The plugin will only work with version 7.5 and higher. Also, the link provided by Karl is correct in that you may need to look for the option to include "uncategorized" plugins. This was a mistake on my part when developing the plugin. The next release will remedy this.

Let me know if you still cannot access the download site.

Also wanted to point out, there are no known issues with RDP 8. RDi 7.x is incorrect as the plugin will not work with RDi 7.1 or any flavor of WDSC. Support for these versions is on the drawing board but will essentially require a rewrite as there are many breaking changes between RDi 7.1 and RDi 7.5.

Tony,

I know we have the time difference to contend with, but let me know if you get this working when you start your day. If not, lets do a gotomeeting and find the issue.

Not fixed :(

This is RDP V8.03

Uninstalled previous install.
restarted RDP.
fresh install - followed the instructions at http://www.profoundlogic.com/docs/displ ... ugin+Setup - everything worked exactly as per the screen shots - restated RDP at after install as per instructions.

After restart, if I go back to the new install section it shows "all items installed"

Likewise if I look at installed software list

But the Profound section is still missing from the preferences menu

continued from previous message

The jar file is in the directory where it is supposed to be

The only clue to the failure comes from the properties of the plug in

I can't find an install log (if in fact there is one) that might gives a clue as to why my install fails.

As I write this, it's 7:15PM my time, that's 3:45AM USA Eastern (I think that's where you are ?), so getting a time that suits for remote meeting is difficult - basically it's when I sleep/ you work, then when you sleep/I work - LOL.

My time zone app says that 5:30PM your time is 9:00AM my time, so I guess anytime from that time onward we could go to meeting, otherwise I am quite happy to continue using the designer in a stand alone browser window.

Email me if you want to try

Thanks

That is very strange. Are you running it on 64 bit Windows 7? If so, can you try reinstalling using the "Run as Administrator" option?

Really just grasping at straws as I am not able to recreate the problem.

Brian, your straw grasping has worked !

Yes, I am using Windows7 64bit so I stated RDP using "run as Administrator"

I had to manually select the workspace to use.

I then followed the install instructions & they worked as previously, except that after the restart of RDP, the PUI plug-in is there & working.

and I can login without the "run as Administrator" (which is what I have always done anyway) and the PUI plugin still works

thanks mate :)
