Custom Grid, problem with PagingBar and Excel Link Color

If If design my own grid, if have some trouble with the paging bar.
It seems that it could not customized. Only way to change it is to change the pagingBar.gif
in the "\proddata\images\grids\" folder.

Also I can't change the text color of the link "Export to Excel" and it could be helpful to bind a field to the link.

I don't know how dangerious it would be to make changes in the proddata folder. Will these changes be overwritten generally by a future update or not?

Yes, I think they are also updated and must be changed after every update. But at the moment it is the only way to have a real custom (corporate) design.

Unfortunately there is not a way to customize the paging bar as of yet. The paging bar is created with inline styles and so there is not currently a way to change it, other than by doing what you have done already.

We are continually making the widgets more customizable -- you can control most aspects of of the grids already through CSS.

We will look at adding CSS classes to this for a future release.

The same goes for the Excel button -- the functionality is currently built in and cannot be changed.

Also, kfritz is correct in that all files shipped with the product are overwritten when an update is applied...
