tabbed page 'flickers' as tabs are clicked

we have a record format that uses the tabbed property. However, when a tab is clicked the other panels seem to 'flicker' momentarily and you can see the content of the other tabs. This also happens when a 'widget' is clicked that executes the pui.click() Java script.
I've attached a save file with example code.
