Hi
I hope either I'm doing something wrong or there's a simple solution but I have a usability issue with choices for a text box. We've attached a textbox to the product code on the product file. A user starts typing and the choices are suggested. However, if they press return (enter associated with a button) before the the choices are displayed, it returns to the system and processes as expected. If they press return when the choices are displayed they have to press enter twice. I have seen occasions in the past when they've had to press return 3 times previously to return to the system but I can't replicate that at the moment so maybe that no longer occurs. As little an issue as it would appear to be, they still complain.
Does anyone know of a way to have return action as return when the choices are displayed unless you're navigating through the choices themselves?
Thanks in advance
Rob

Re: Choices for a text box
The first "enter" closes the dropdown with the choices. The second "enter" submits the screen.
This is the normal/expected behavior.

Re: Choices for a text box
Hi again Scott
I get that, I really do. But I have users that are clinging tooth and nail to their green screens and I wanted to have the some of the more modern features, such as choices, but still have it work the same for them to remove their objections. I think I will end up taking out the choice option so it does function exactly as it did but perhaps assign a button and/or F-key to either search or convert the field to have choices.
By the way, if you type quick enough and press enter before the choices have been retrieved it operates as it did.
Regards
