Import Excel to a Grid

Is it planned in a future version to import an Excel sheet (or a copy/paste selection) into a Grid (the opposite of an export from a Grid to Excel) ?
There is an example here with ExtJS:

There is no built-in feature for this, nor is there any planned. You could easily implement that yourself using the file-upload widget.
