Mobile Grid: load-all page-down

We are using the default mobile grid for a load-all subfile. We're finding when we swipe to page down, the very first input does an entire page down, then the remaining subfile then scrolls record-by-record. For example: subfile shows records 1-6. When the user swipes, it jumps immediately to records 7-12, then 8-13, 9-14, etc. There is no graceful, gradual move through records 2-7, 3-8, 4-9, etc. Is there an grid property or javascript to provide a smoother initial page down?

Things should move gracefully without settiing anything... they always have for me!
