Debug an AJAX call

Post by kswisher »

How do you debug and AJAX called program?

I have attempted to set a service entry point for the program using both my own profile, and using the QTMHHTTP profile and neither seem to catch it.

Disregard....i couldn't catch the SRVPGM for whatever reason but it stops on the PGM object.

It'll never run under userid QTMHHTTP. It'll either be under user profile QTMHHTP1 or your own user profile.

Ok. Thanks for the info.

On another note.... I am seeing our development version (5.1.3) work ok on an AJAX call with some bad data, but the production (5.3.2) seems to not read the Parameters from the universal display file.

The javascript should probably be updated to strip field formatting (commas) from the numerics as I am guessing that is the difference. But I did notice that there were several changes in 5.4 to handling of the universal display files which seemed to possibly address this.

Yes, that was a bug that was fixed a long time ago. Please update to 5.4.0.

To keep up-to-date with bug fixes, you should always install the latest version of Profound UI. There is no advantage to running an old one.
