Can Rich Display and Genie apps work together?

Post by cproctor »

I'm assuming the answer to my question in the subject line is yes, but I don't know how this would work. I have a Genie skin that we're running in production now and I'm curious if I can convert DDS in the visual designer, or even create screens from scratch in the designer and have that program call programs that were created in Genie.

If there's somewhere where I might see an example of this it'd be very helpful!

Thanks!

Maybe my English is to bad, so maybe i don't understand your problem. Of course you can have Genie programs which call ProfoundUI programs and reverse. Both types of programs are written in "normal" RPG. So one program can call another program via RPG command "CALL". Of cource this is possible only in Genie Sessions.

Hi Dieter

You answered my question. I'm new to RichDS so I wasn't sure how it would work. So, as long as I'm in Genie, I can call the richDS and visa versa. Got it!

Thanks!
