I am having an issue with a window format that is called (prototyped). The initial screen is wiped out when the window is written (exfmt).
PopUp Window works when the display formats are all in the same display file. This is an issue with calling a program and popping up a window.
Do we need to use the dummy format with ASSUME keyword like Fred Flinstone used to do ?
Thanks
pop up window called from a prototyped interface

Re: pop up window called from a prototyped interface
You will need to set the "assume" screen-level property in your display file. It does not have to be on a separate "dummy" format like it was in 5250.
One of the features of Profound UI is the ability to convert your 5250 displays to Rich Displays and have them work. For this reason, we've had to keep things compatible with the way the 5250 displays work. Otherwise, when Fred Flintstone converts his displays, they won't work right :-)

Yabba-dabba-doo !
Thanks Scott,
The display works fine, lasts a long time, requires little or no maintenance...
As usual - Thank you for sharing your knowledge (I started on a System 34 in the early 1980's) and I have been copying your homework ever since.
Newbie to ProfoundUI as you may have guessed but looking forward to all the new releases and features.
The royalty check is in the mail...
