Sorry, we don't have a way right now to hide the navigation panel on start up. (This is the first time I've heard someone ask about it.)

Hi Scott,
The reason why I'm asking that is because we are planning to use a 1200x760 resolution and some users still have a 17'' monitors @1280x1024.
Hiding the navigation panel by default would be very convenient... while using a lower resolution in our converted screens would be too bad !
