unable to assign workstation suffix

I am unable to assign a workstation suffix and can't figure out what I did wrong
address that i use is: http://ourserver:port/profoundui/auth/start?workstnid=PUI&suffixid=1

workstation assigned to my job is "PUI" without any suffix.

The suffix shows up when you have more than one job with the same name. So your first job will be named PUI, the second will be PUI1, the third will be PUI2, etc.

Ok it works perfect.
I thought that the suffix was something that I could set (I had1for the first session, then 2, 3)
