Pulldown Menu and Subfile Grid Issue

I have a screen with a horizontal pulldown menu bar defined across the top. Right below the pulldown menu is a subfile grid. When I select an option from the pulldown menu and the submenu is displayed beneath it, it displays over the top of the subfile grid. This is fine and they way I want it to work. But when the submenu is displayed, the lines from the subfile grid bleed through the submenu options and alot of the text for the options is cutoff.

Is this a problem or the way it is supposed to work?

I have also noticed that when the pulldown submenu overlays the subfile grid, I am not able to move all the way down the list of submenu options, before the submenu decides to disappear.

I recreated the issue, and found that changing the value of menu properties "Z index" under Position to 100 fixes this issue.

I am having the same issue with the pulldown submenu disappearing when trying to select the second option or below. It seems to work in all browsers except IE. I'm using IE 8.0. It also disappears when the menu is in the Visual Designer as well.

Which version of Profound UI are you running? We recently made a few updates to the menu widget on Profound UI 4.0.4 and it seems to be working correctly.
