Safari browser not rendering the same as other browsers

Post by leomoore »

We have modified our sign-on screen to conform to our visual standards. It works in all browsers we have found in use in the company; Opera, Firefox, Chrome, IE, and Firefox; but in Safari the error field, which generally is invisible except when there is an error message, appears as a question mark even though there is no error. It displays normally if there is actually an error.

I am not sure what can be done, if anything, but thought it worth asking. I have attached a .jpg showing the screen with the

Can you attach source code for the display? We'd need to look at it to see where it's going wrong, as the original screen that we ship renders just fine in Safari.

I believe that the blue question mark icon in Safari indicates a missing image -- like IE's red X icon for the same purpose. Other browsers do not show any visual indication for a missing image.
