Field Exit from a Select Box with auto complete locking up

I have an issue where, when the field exit key is used from a select box with auto complete, profound would lock up. If you wait a few seconds, then select one of the auto complete suggestions, you get an error message box at the bottom of the screen which states that "Theo (our system name) is not responding due to a long-running script." There is a button to Stop the script, which does resolve the locking issue. I played around with this select box, because other select boxes worked fine with the field exit key. I tried changing several things to get it to work like the other working select boxes. I ended up changing the Value property and selecting a data type of decimal 5,0 (since this was a zip code box) instead of our usual "Use Reference Field" which refered to a 5 alpha field. After compiling the source, then changing the data type back to "Use Reference Field" and refering to the same exact field as before, then re-compiling, the problem went away. By all accounts, in the WYSIWYG editor, everything has been changed back to match exactly as it was before when I was having problems, however, now I don't have any problems. Now, when I field exit out of the field, the program advances to the next field without issue or locking Profound at all. I am unsure exactly what the problem was, how exactly I resolved the issue, and why after returning to the same state in which I began, it is working now. Does anybody else have any ideas?

That is an unusual situation. Did you perhaps change the widget type at some point? Maybe a property from a different kind of widget was retained and caused a problem. Very hard to say without seeing the problem happen. Glad it is resolved now though.
