accessing a profoundui Application via the browser

Post by chris_rover »

Hi guys,
I have created a mobile app on one partition(where I have license for the Designer), and want to access it from the browser on the production partition(where I only have licence for Atruim and Open Access Handler) how do I access this application on the production partition? do I need to perform some sort of config? what url can I use? do I need to place the program and display objects in some particular location?

I am new to this. please help!

The Open Access Handler license is what provides the runtime for the applications, so you can run them on the production partition without the need for the designer license.

Have you installed Profound UI on the production partiation? If so, you probably just need to copy over your anonymous program data and/or initial program data to the production partition.

These are the data files that say which programs can be run without signing on, or in the case of signed in sessions, which initial program is called when a user signs in.

Normally you maintain this data through the designer, but you have no license on the production partition. This is fine -- you can just copy the file contents over.

The files are PROFOUNDUI/PUI0001200 (anonymous program data), and PUI0001201 and PUI0001202 (initial program data for signed in sessions).

If you are using Atrium, you can setup the data on the production partition by copying over the contents of all physical files PROFOUNDUI/AT*.

After this is all setup, you can access Profound UI and Atrium using the same URLs you use on your development partiation -- just change the host name or IP address in the URL to reflect the production partition.

The files are
