Why do my function keys buttons on the bottom of the screen work fine on some screens but others don't work at all.
The screen that has the function keys that don't work has 2 tab panels and the other screens don't have any real changes to them.
Clicking on function keys don't work on all screens

Re: Clicking on function keys don't work on all screens
Do you mean that, for example, you can press F3 when your cursor is near the top, but not when its near the bottom? I've never heard of that. In my experience function keys always apply to the whole screen.
I realize that in your shop, there's probably an established pattern for how applications are developed. For example, you may always use green-screens, and you may have a convention for how they are laid out, how your keys are used, etc.... but, please remember that I don't work in your shop. I don't know how you usually do things. I don't know if you are working with HTML, Rich Display or Genie screens. I don't know what you mean by "at the bottom". Or "don't work at all"? Do you mean you get an error? If so, what is the error? Or, do you mean that you press the key, and the browser takes control? Or that when you press the key, it says "Function key not defined"?
Please explain things better, and remember that we aren't familiar with your application. Ideally, give us enough information that we could re-create the exact same scenario on our machines. That's how you know that you've given enough information.

Re: Clicking on function keys don't work on all screens
I guess my definition was not very clear. Sorry for that.
These screens were all built with Genie from existing green screens. When I press the F3 button on my keyboard, the exit works fine but when I point with my mouse to the screen and click on the F3=EXIT button, nothing happens.
Since this works on my other screen, I copied that F3 button from the screen that works to the screen that doesn't work. But, that didn't help. Clicking the F3=EXIT button doesn't work
Hope this is a little clearer. Let me know if there are questions that I didn't answer.

Re: Clicking on function keys don't work on all screens
Hi Sunny,
Could you please send a screen dump of this problem screen to support@profoundlogic.com? To take a screen dump, you'll want to navigate to the problem screen and press Ctrl+F9. It would help to have a screen dump from a screen that has function keys that work properly, in addition to a screen dump where the function keys do not work.
