Cursor Record Number on grid

Post by Wendy »

I have a very simple grid using the database file and fields properties to populate it. I want to double click on the row and return to the program with a value in the Cursor Record Number variable. I do this often but have not done it when populating the grid with the database file. I don't understand why it won't work in this case and hope I'm just overlooking something simple.

My grid populates just fine. When control goes back to the program, my cursor record number variable is zero.

Thank you,
Wendy

Database-driven grids don't report data back to the RPG program. They are for output to the display, only.

You could write JavaScript code to find the row that the user double-clicked on.

Or, you could load the grid from RPG.

Well that makes total sense. But I wish they would! It would be amazing. Maybe I'll suggest it.

Thank you!
