Getting Permanent I/O error occurred in DSPF

Hi Team,

Greetings of the day!

We have developed a AS400 DSPF which is having size of DS4 (27*132). Our goal is to load 16 columns data into same DSPF using RPG program (total length of 16 columns are less than 132 bytes). The screen is succefully getting loaded in As400 systems but failing in Profound UI and getting error message saying ' Permanent I/O error occurred in DSPF' (Message ID . . . . . . : RNQ1251).

We suspect due number of columns and width issue we might be geting this error in Profound. Also note that at AS400 side everything is working fine as expected for the same screeen (DSPF).

If we keep 15 columns in DSPF then screen is getting loaded successfully in Profound UI.

Requesting you to please guide us on this isssue on what might be the root cause and how to resolve.

Many people use 132 column screens in Genie without problems. I have done so, myself, many times.
