Export to Excel Button

Post by RichieMoore »

Hello,
In the Profound UI Visual Designer (rel 5.5) I have a Rich Display File and I'm using a grid which by default has the Export to Excel button. It is enabled by setting the property "csv export" to True. This works when I am in update mode but not in inquiry mode. In inquiry mode it does not show the Export to Excel button. So I tried binding this property to an indicator called isCSV and I set that indicator on in the RPG but it does not show the Export to Excel button. This is the only grid that has this trouble. The other work just fine. Any ideas?
Thanks
Richie

When you use "inquiry mode" (which must be a feature of your software, because I'm not familiar with anything like that in Profound UI) what options are you enabling in Profound UI?

Scott,

In inquiry mode the Delete button in not visible so the users cannot delete a row in the grid. So we use Inquiry to control the Visibility property on the Delete button of each row. And that works but it also is hiding Export to Excel.

Thanks

Sorry, I've no idea why changing the visibility of a separate button would affect whether the csv export option shows up.
