Hello Patti,

Could you please elaborate on what and how you would like the feature 'turned off'? Are you looking to hide the Files tab of the Designer?

Thanks,

Yes, that is what I meant. I would at least like there to be no access to proddata, or possibly just a view mode.

Hello Patti,

This is currently not possible. If this is a feature you would like, could you please send an email to support@profoundlogic.com with the following additional clarifications so that we can create a Feature Request ticket for you?
  • Are you looking to allow some developer's editing privileges and not others?
  • Is using Object Level Authority to control file access and editing privileges insufficient or impractical for you in such a way that hiding the tab or controlling the tab's access is a better option?
  • Are you looking to hide the files from view so that those without authority to view or edit are also unable to see the names and locations of certain files?
  • Any other reasons that this feature would be particularly useful or necessary for you?
  • How important is this feature for you? Are you needing it immediately, sooner than later, in a reasonable amount of time, or whenever we can get to it if the feature request is accepted?
This additional information will aid our developers in determining whether to accept the feature request and what priority to give its implementation if it were accepted.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please let us know and we'll be happy to help!

Thanks,

Megan,

We decided to just lock things down ourselves.
