Something I think would be very beneficial to have would be an enhanced grid. Either extending the existing one, or if the "subfile" use makes it difficult, then perhaps a new database bound client side only grid that would provide some advance grid functionality. Specifically, things like filtering on the client side, perhaps "grouping", Field selection at run time(allowing a user to choose which fields to include), etc.
There's lot's of great stuff here, but as I'm putting some things together these type of enhancements would be of great benefit.
Just a thought...
