Mobile UI on iPhone

We've recently encountered am issue where some of the mobile screens we've designed have started are behaving oddly on Apple iPhones and iPads both using Atrium and the Profound UI mobile app to run the program.
What happens is when you start the program, the containers appear to be "collapsed" (screen1 in the attachments) an d you cannot see the input fields. When you rotate the phone to landscape, the containers "expand" and you can see the fields. When you rotate back to portrait the containers and fields display normally (screen2 in the attachments).
Users started to experience this a few weeks ago (cannot provide exact date) but only reported today. For the most part, these screens are used with Zebra scanners that do not have this same behavior.
I suspect an issue with the scroller layout but don't want to break the Zebras.
Thanks!
