Empty Value Display Issue

Hello,
I have a profoundui screen variable "£FOCDPL" linked with my back(DSPF), this variable has a data type -> Decimal 5 0. If I pass its type (html) to "number" instead of "text, I no longer have a value in this field... get('£FOCDPL') -> ' '
