Problems with showing error-messages

Hello,

my name is Artur and I'm new to Profound UI. We've already converted some old DDS-described programs but I've not much experience with Profound UI.

Now I started to develop a new program without converting an old one. My problem is now that the error messages, which I want to show, are placed within the textbox, where I've entered the text. But I would prefer, when the messages would be shown above the field.
My field has the following properties:

And the message properties look like this:

Has someone an idea, what I am doing wrong?

Kind regards
Artur

Hello,

has no one else this situation? I want to put the error-message above the textbox. But the error-message is put in the value of the textbox:

What is the property "error message location" for, when it does not take effect?

Hope, someone can help me.

Kind regards
Artur

Hello Emily,

thanks for your reply. As I'm new to Profound UI I can't know, if this behavior of a textbox is a bug or is it working as designed. Maybe I'm doing something completely wrong in my programming. And I wanted to know, if someone else can give me a hint.

So if this is a bug, then I will write to the support-team.

Kind regards
Artur

The problem is solved. It was very easy.

Instead of using the property "messages", I had to use the property "error messages".

I'm just wondering why no one on this forum could help me? Are there any other ways to output the messages? Am I the only one doing it this way?

Kind regards
Artur
