Atrium language support.

Post by vijo »

Hi,

In ATUSERSP, atrium's user tables, we can use the column AULANG to set user's language and the table ATNTRANSP to store translations for menu entries. Everything seems to work OK but I did not found any option to configure user's language in the GUI. Maybe that's because it's a beta feature.

Thanks

We recently added language support for Atrium. It's available starting in Profound version 5.5.0, and the documentation can be found here:

http://www.profoundlogic.com/docs/displ ... for+Atrium

Only French (fr_FR) and Dutch (nl_NL) translations are available out-of-the-box. For now, other languages require you to define the translated strings.

Vincent,

We recently had this same question asked of our support department by another customer. Below is the answer that was provided.

"The AUGLANG column (along with the ATNTRANSP table) is meant to be used so that you can provide your own translations to menu item text in Atrium. We do not currently provide any type of interface for these items. You will need to manually create and maintain these items yourself. We have directions on how to go about doing this in our documentation, here is the link: http://www.profoundlogic.com/docs/displ ... m+Database.

Please note that the "language support for Atrium" that Matthew mentioned is only for strings that are used within the framework. It will NOT work for menu items that you, as a customer, add.
