When you license Profound UI, you are entitled to run as many instances on that partition as you would like. Many customers use this to set up Dev/QA/Prod environments. Others use separate instances for different customers/companies. Another advantage is that when you want to upgrade the product, you can schedule different outage windows for each "company".
Hi Brian,
I am sorry but I don't understand what you mean by "separate instances of PUI" ? It seems to be very interesting, but how can I do this ?
Just run the installer again. But change the settings for a different port, library name, and instance name. Now you have 2 webservers running on your system. Different URLs, libraries, etc. Again, it is very common practice with customers. Now you have independent environments that can be started, stopped, upgraded, and configured as needed.
