I have a chart on tab #0 of a tab panel, and a subfile grid on tab #1. When the screen is displayed the first time, I see extra lines on the chart that look like they're from the subfile grid. If I switch to tab 1 and back to tab 0, the extra lines are gone. (The tab panel doesn't bind the response property).

try setting the chart overlay property to true

That seems to work, though I had to expand my chart left & right to be larger than my subfile grid or the lines appeared to the left & right of it.
