I noticed that when looking at the directory structure for Profound that in the proddata folder there is a profoundui folder which has a proddata which has a profoundui which has a proddata which has a profoundui which has a proddata which has a profoundui which has a proddata which has a profoundui which has a proddata.
It also keeps creating more sub directories very time you select the proddata folder.
Is this normal?
Do I need all those extra directories?

Within /www/profoundui/htdocs/profoundui/proddata there should not be a folder named profoundui. You should be able to delete the folder /www/profoundui/htdocs/profoundui/proddata/profoundui and all subfolders.
I'm not sure how these extra nested folders were created here but they are not required.

We have tried to delete these subdirectories using iSeries Navigator, RSE, and from the iSeries
but cannot delete the directors.
Also tried Windows Explorer but get cannot delete message.

The starting point will be the message that iSeries Navigator gives you when you try to delete the folder. You could also try this IBM API:
Code: Select all
CALL QP0FPTOS PARM(*LSTOBJREF '/www/profoundui/htdocs/profoundui/proddata/profoundui' *FORMAT2)
This creates a spool file listing any locks on the file/folder

The iSeries Navigator does not give any messages.

If you use WRKLNK and navigate inside the proddata folder, take option 8 on the profoundui folder, what is the object Type?
