Question:
If I use the trial, do I have to have IBM OS 7.1 installed, along with the license product for handlers?
Answer:
No. IBM OS 7.1 is not required to install or run the trial.
Supplied with the Profound UI trial is a preprocessor, which emulates the operation of Open Access. This will allow you to evaluate the product without purchasing Open Access. To use the pre-processor, you add PROFOUNDUI to your library list and use the compile commands PUIBNDRPG, PUIRPGMOD and PUISQLRPGI instead of CRTBNDRPG, CRTRPGMOD and CRTSQLRPGI.
Past the trial period, V6R1 (and higher) users will need to purchase Open Access, whereas V5R4 and V5R3 users will continue to use the preprocessor.
