Google Chrome autofill

Hello!

Is there a possibility to turn off Chromes autofill only for our Profound-Instances? In the web it's pretty handy, but in an ERP it's more than annoying.
Thanks in advance.

Regards

Peter

Great question. I'm having the same issue with developing our new MRO software.

I did some research, but haven't tried it.

There is an "autocomplete" property you can add to HTML to tell the browser not to auto-fill. However, in more recent releases, Chrome has been ignoring this. Apparently, the folks at Google don't approve of web sites disabling their auto-fill, so they are ignoring these attributes.

There are people recommending randomizing the names of your fields... using JavaScript to add random numbers to the field names in order to make them different and therefore prevent autofill -- but, this doesn't sound like a good solution to me, because the names in your programs would have to change.

I guess I'll look around some more. But there's not a lot we can do if Chrome overrides our directives.

I just fielded a call from one of our installs using Chrome asking why all the dropdowns on fields added in the ERP software we write. Did Google just ramp something up on a recent update or is it coincidental that this thread started today and its the first I've had a user mention it?
Can we lobby Scott to go to bat against Google?

Yes, they ramped it up.

Or, as one of the posts someone made on stack exchange put it "they're unusability department has been hard at work"
